IRA accounts, ECA, and Certificates of Deposit

Banco Popular will substantially honor all the terms and conditions for deposit account products, including: Certificates of Deposit (CDs), IRAs, and Educational Contribution Accounts (ECA) you currently have with Citibank, up until their expiration date..

• Letter sent from Citibank regarding IRA accounts:
  Citibank sent a letter to all of its IRA and ECA account customers on September 18, 2007. The letter notified these account holders regarding the selection of one of three options that they can consider on or before November 17, 2007:
  1. A roll over to another financial institution
  2. Withdrawal of funds
  3. Maintain the funds with Citibank. The funds will transfer to Banco Popular under the rate agreed upon up until its expiration date. Upon renewal, the funds will convert to a similar Banco Popular product subject to the valid rate at the time.
