Payments & debits/automatic payments

If you were accustomed to making payments with Citibank, you will be automatically registered in our TelePago Popular® and Internet Banking services.

Merchants

During the week of December 1, 2007, you will receive confirmation by mail regarding the merchants you had with Citibank that we were able to add to our electronic services.  

For example: If the Autoridad de Energía Eléctrica (AEE) was listed as one of your merchants, we will pre-register your AEE account number in Banco Popular’s Bill Pay service to facilitate setting-up your payments.

Payments

Future payments or frequent payments (monthly, weekly, etc.) that you established with Citibank, and that are to be processed on or after December 1, 2007, will not be part of the conversion process. Please contact us so that we can assist you in establishing your payments. You can call us at 787-724-3659 or you can set up your payments on your own by using our Internet Banking service.

Automatic debits

If you currently have any automatic debits affecting your Citibank deposit account, you don’t have to worry. We will notify your merchant of your new Banco Popular account number for your debits from December on.
