Checking and savings account balances
Your available balance will be included in the text message you receive in response to your request for the information. That balance is the amount of money currently available in your Popular checking or savings account. The balance amount includes all transactions that have been cleared and processed. Please note that you must deduct from your available balance any transactions that you have made but that Popular has yet to receive. Upon doing so, you will know how much money is available in your account to spend or withdraw.
Your available balance excludes: transactions the bank has not received in the form of checks, debit card transactions and ACH; a deposit amount identified as currently unavailable or on hold; and authorized debit card transactions.
Credit card account balances
The notification via text messaging that you receive in response to your request will include your pending current balance.
Request and receive basic information via SMS. Just send a text message to the following number: 27776
- Request account nicknames ( TEXT: ?username)
- Request balance (TEXT: nickname)
- Cancel service ( TEXT: cancel)
- Request information (TEXT: help)
Important information about Mi Banco Text service
Popular’s Text Banking service is free of charge, although your wireless service provider may apply charges for text messages sent and received on your mobile phone. We recommend that you check with your service provider for details on applicable rates and charges for said service.
