Popular Music Special

Banco Popular music specials began in 1993, as part of our centennial celebration. These productions promote Puerto Rican and Latin American culture, while promoting the legacy of our artists throughout time. Funds collected through the sale of CDs and DVDs are donated to entities that promote the musical education of children and youth, through the Banco Popular Foundation.

Puerto Rico Art Museum

We have sponsored the Raúl Juliá Theatre since its inaguration. This venue has promoted the appreciation and enjoyment of the visual arts from Puerto Rico and the world.  We also support the museum’s diverse cultural programs.

Museo de Arte de Ponce

The Edward Durrell Stone-designed Ponce Art Museum houses the finest collection of European art in the Caribbean and the most important pre-Raphaelite collection in the Western hemisphere. It will reopen in late 2010 after a $28 million  renovation and expansion project. We have been a strong supporter in their capital campaign.

Museum of Contemporary Art

This institution is dedicated to the documentation and promotion of contemporary art in Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Latin America. As sponsors of the Julio Rosado del Valle Gallery , we support their dynamic cultural programs geared towards the  neighboring Santurce community and diverse audiences.

Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music

Banco Popular Foundation donated the plaza and the Rafael Hernández Auditorium located in their new venue in Santurce, in support of their educational programs in interpretation, composition and other music. The Conservatory has been a leader in developing the island’s future musicians.
