1. What are the steps to becoming a PREMIA® member?
If you already have a deposit account (checking or savings)3 or a Banco Popular® credit card sign up now by clicking on the JOIN! button or calling the PREMIA® center at 1-800-3PREMIA (1-800-377-3642). If you have Visa Signature, American Express Black, Visa Indigo, Amex Indigo or Popular Plus clients, your registration will be automatic.
  2. What is the cost for being a member of the PREMIA® program?
 

Membership in the Program has an annual cost of $25, except for Customers with Popular Plus, Visa Indigo and Amex Indigo accounts, for whom the Membership shall be free at the regular level.  Customers with PMA accounts, ATH® Platinum Card, American Express® card from Banco Popular The Black Card and Visa Signature belong to the Platinum PREMIA® level of the Program, for whom Membership shall be free.

 
 
3. How is the membership paid for?
The annual $25 Membership fee shall apply on the anniversary of the registration in the Program for any of the accounts registered in the Membership of the Customer in the Program.  The fee shall be charged against a credit card or deposit account, Membership shall be canceled if there are insufficient funds for the fee.
4. How do I accumulate points?

Those transactions or activities described in the Program catalog and those additional promotions that Popular may determine from time to time shall accumulate Points. Those Points shall be credited and debited depending on the type of transaction, and the details shall be kept in the program's internet page (www.Popular.com/premia). For more details, go to the Accumulate Points section.

 
5. When do I start accumulating points?
You start accumulating points the same day you register in the program.
6. When do the points expire or how long do I have to redeem them?
Customer Points in the regular level will expire every fourth December beginning on the date in which they were accumulated.  Accumulated Customer Points at the Platinum PREMIA® level of the Program do not expire, as long as they are maintained at that level.  In case the client stops belonging to the Platinum PREMIA® level, regular level expiration terms of Points and the regular level Membership fee apply. 

For example, the points you accumulate on May 2005will expire on December 31, 2008. The points you accumulate in January 2006 will expire December 31, 2009.
7. How will I know my accumulated points total?
To view information about the balance of your points, to see a detailed list of your transactions and check when your points expire, visit www.popular.com.
8. What are the rewards?

Visit www.popular.com/premis to view the entire online catalog and see all rewards you can redeem.

9. Can I redeem for cash?
Yes, cash is available through PREMIA® gift cards.
10. How can I redeem my points?

  • Visit www.popular.com and chek your points balance to find out how many points you can redeem.
  • Go to the PREMIA® Catalog and choose your rewards.
  • Click on the REDEEM button and fill out the form.

1. What is PREMIA®?
Premier® is a program which will automatically earn points for things you do every day: making purchases with your credit card or ATH ®, using electronic services, keeping your deposit accounts and seeking loans in Popular.
2. What are the steps to becoming a PREMIA® member?

3. Are there any products or services that are not included in the PREMIA® program?
The following products do not qualify for registration or accumulation of points in the program: ATH:POP, Savings Club, Christmas Club, commercial accounts, “Visa Corporate" nor Visa Return credit cards do not qualify for Membership.  The Program does not apply to Customers of the Banco Popular International Branch, BPNA (Banco Popular North America), USVI (United States Virgin Islands), and BVI (British Virgin Islands). 
4. Do I need to register for each account?

No, Upon registering, a Membership number shall be assigned under which all eligible accounts shall be registered in which the Customer appears as primary title holder, so they can accumulate Points jointly.  Beginning at that Point, it can begin to accumulate Points in the Program.

7. How many membership categories are there in the PREMIA® program?

The PREMIA® program has two categories: Regular and Platinum.

8. Who are the members of the Platinum Category?

Membership in the Program has an annual cost of $25, except for Customers with PMA accounts, ATH® Platinum Card, American Express® card from Banco Popular The Black Card and Visa Signature.

9. Who are the members of the Regular Category?

Clients who have at least one deposit account (excluding ATH:POP, Savings Club, Christmas Club, commercial accounts, “Visa Corporate" nor Visa Return credit cards do not qualify for Membership.  The Program does not apply to Customers of the Banco Popular International Branch, BPNA (Banco Popular North America), USVI (United States Virgin Islands), and BVI (British Virgin Islands). Popular Plus, Visa Indigo and Amex Indigo Indigo do not pay membership, but will be regarded as a Regular category.

10. What privileges does the Platinum membership offer?

Platinum clients have no membership fee. Also, points in the Platinum membership never expire.

12. Do all accounts accumulate points?

Only transactions that involve individual consumption products shall accumulate Points.  Points shall not accumulate for those transactions which Popular in good faith determines are commercial transactions even when they involve individual consumption products.  Popular reserves the right to eliminate any Point granted for commercial transactions made for products of individual consumption.  Only those transactions of commercial consumption that qualify for the Program, as determined by Popular from time to time, shall accumulate Points. 

13. When do I start accumulating points?

You start accumulating points the same day you register in the program.

14. What happens after I sign up in PREMIA®?

You will receive a brochure by mail that will guide you on the program, its benefits, how you can accumulate and redeemed your PREMIA points. Also begin to receive communications: Magazine and Newsletter to keep you informed of the rewards you can redeem.

15. Will I have a card that identifies me as a member of the PREMIA® program?

No, the ATH® card and credit card of the client who sign up for the program will have the PREMIA® logo with the purpose of identifying them as a PREMIA® client.

16. How do I know which transactions or activities accumulate points?

17. In regards to mortgage loans and other joint accounts, if both clients are registered in the program, which member receives the points?

Only those accounts where the Customer appears as the primary holder shall accumulate Points.  Accounts where the Customer appears as secondary holder, co-applicant, or authorized user, shall not count for the accumulation of Points.  The primary titleholder can cede accumulated Points for the transaction of credit to the co-applicant only in mortgage and auto loans.

19. Which situations could result in the loss of points?
- Closed accounts
- Failure to pay annual fee
- Past due accounts
- Closing of all accounts with Popular, Inc.
- Cancellation of membership by the client or by Popular, Inc.
- Abuse of program or its benefits or not complying with its Terms and Conditions
- Not having a credit card or deposit account valid for the program
20. If the membership holder dies, what happens to the points?

The points are non-transferable or heritable. If the membership is cancelled for any reason, including death of the membership holder, divorce, delinquency, closing of accounts or any other situation, the points may not be redeemed and will be voided.

21. How will I know my accumulated points total?

To view information about the balance of your points, to see a detailed list of your transactions and check when your points expire, visit www.popular.com.

22. Is there a minimum of points required to redeem?

No, you can start redeeming your points at any moment just as long as you have the required points needed for the desired reward.

23. How will I receive the rewards?

You'll receive your reward by return mail, to the residential or postal address that you specified upon registration. In the case of merchandising will be required to provide a physical address.

24. What are the rewards?

25. Where can I find additional information about rewards?
