Information for payment deferment of your credit card

We offer payment alternatives for your credit card if your financial situation has been impacted by the emergency situation caused by COVID-19.

Through this new digital tool, you will be able to defer up to four (4) payments to reduce your financial burden during this emergency. Below, we describe the steps you must follow to complete your application and be considered:

  • Read carefully the Terms and Conditions of the payment deferment.
  • Pay attention to the disclosures for customers with TelePago Popular® automatic payments or with credit insurance.
  • Enter your information and describe the financial circumstances that motivates your request.
  • Confirm your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.

If you have more than one credit card, you must complete an application for each one.

This tool is exclusively for our individual credit cards customers. If you are a commercial credit card customer, you should use the digital tool for commercial clients available through popular.com

Disclosures

TelePago Popular® automatic payments

If you have TelePago Popular® automatic payments, once your eligibility is confirmed and your payment postponement is approved, you expressly authorize us to DEACTIVATE TelePago Popular® automatic payments for your credit card payments during the postponement period. Furthermore, you authorize us to REACTIVATE your TelePago Popular® after this period has concluded, under the same terms of the original authorization. If the date and time of approval of your application occurs within 5 days of the automatic payment, it is possible that we may not be able to stop the TelePago Popular® scheduled payment in time. If this occurs, you must call us at 1-888-724-3659 and ask for it to be reversed, as well as any charges that may be assessed due to insufficient funds.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

If your account payment has been scheduled in Telepago Popular® to be debited from someone else's account, we will not be able to reactivate it when the postponement period ends. If you agree to the payment postponement, you must notify this third party that they must make the necessary arrangements to reactivate the Telepago Popular®, either through the Mi Banco Online application or by calling TeleBanco Popular®, when the time comes to resume your payments.
