To help with your mortgage loan payments during the federal government’s temporary shutdown, we have developed an Assistance Program (the “Program”) with options intended to benefit you. It consists of the deferral of the January and February 2019 payments without requiring a financial evaluation to qualify.

To participate in the Program, it is important to meet the following requirements:

  • Your mortgage loan must be up to date (next payment date: January 1, 2019).
  • Present evidence that you are a federal employee or contractor.

For your convenience, here is a summary of the Program’s terms:

  • We will not report arrears to credit agencies; your account will be reported as deferred and current1.
  • The terms of the current contract, including the loan’s maturity, will remain unchanged.
  • The monthly payment will remain the same according to the current loan contract.
  • Deferred payments will not accrue additional interest.
  • We will not charge late fees.

If you are part of the Program, you must contact us at 787-775-1100, after February 25, 2019, when the payment deferral period is approaching its end.

If you understand that you need to receive guidance on other options available for your loan, or if you are experiencing severe or persistent financial hardship and want guidance on our Loss Mitigation2 program, call 787-522-1544, Monday to Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
