As used in these Terms and Conditions, the terms “you” or “your” refers to the individual that is the user of ‘Mi Crédito’ service.
When you use or access ‘Mi Crédito’ you agree to these Terms and Conditions. We may amend or change these Terms and Conditions from time to time, in our sole discretion, by sending you a written notice by electronic mail, postal mail, or by posting the updated Terms and Conditions at http://micredito.popular.com. If you find these Terms and Conditions unacceptable to you at any time, you may discontinue your use of ‘Mi Crédito’. By continuing to use ‘Mi Crédito’, after we have made any amendments or changes, you agree to the updated terms.
‘Mi Crédito’ is a web-based service which presents users with information gathered from their Experian credit reports (including VantageScore 3.0), credit history, credit score simulator and debt analysis tools in a dashboard.
To enroll and use ‘Mi Crédito’ you must:
We reserve the right to refuse your access to, or use, of ‘Mi Crédito’ at any time.
If you choose to access ‘Mi Crédito’, you will be required to provide personal information to register and complete enrollment. You agree to provide accurate information in your registration and not share your password with third parties. You agree not to impersonate another person or to select or use a username or password of another person. You agree to notify BPPR promptly of any unauthorized use of ‘Mi Crédito’ and of any loss, theft, or disclosure of your password.
Failure to comply with these requirements will constitute a breach of these Terms and Conditions and shall constitute grounds for termination of your ‘Mi Crédito’ access.
You understand that by clicking the “submit” button during the enrollment process, you are providing “written instructions”, in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, as amended, and other applicable laws, including state laws, authorizing BPPR and its service providers, which may include Array US Inc., to obtain information from your personal credit profile from Experian, or any other credit reporting agency on a monthly basis, so long as you are enrolled in ‘Mi Crédito’.
This includes authorizing BPPR and its service providers to use your social security number to access your personal credit profile, to verify your identity, and to provide you with ‘Mi Crédito’ services. It also includes authorizing BPPR to use your credit information and other information that you may provide at or after enrollment to market products and services to you from time to time.
You understand that BPPR may use your credit information, and other information that you provided prior to, at the time of enrollment or after to:
We will use the information in your credit report to verify your identity without any additional action needed by you. This information includes your name, social security number, birthdate, and address.
The score shown in ‘Mi Crédito’ dashboard is your VantageScore 3.0 score, as provided by Experian Information Solutions, Inc. Each of the three credit reporting agencies (Equifax, Inc., Experian Information Solutions, Inc., and TransUnion, LLC.) uses a different model to calculate a credit score and each gathers data independently. The credit reporting agencies pull your information from many different sources (such as lenders, collections, court records) at different times, therefore there may be discrepancies at any particular time between the reports from each credit reporting agency.
When we display your VantageScore 3.0 in the ‘Mi Crédito’ dashboard, this is done via a “soft credit pull”, therefore it does not impact your credit score. If you choose to apply for credit products, the lender might obtain your credit report during the application process, which can impact your credit score. We do not guarantee that the information presented in 'Mi Crédito', including credit report or credit score information, is the same information that may be used or reviewed to assess your creditworthiness or eligibility for any particular product or service.
There may be instances where we cannot pull your credit report information from Experian due to alerts or credit freezes placed by you. In this case, the user is responsible for contacting the consumer reporting agencies to lift the alert or freeze.
To see what we do with your personal information and what choices you can make, see Popular, Inc’s Privacy Policy and Array US, Inc’s Privacy Policy.
BPPR will be offering ‘Mi Crédito’ to eligible users. Users will receive free access to their credit report, credit score, credit alerts, credit score simulator, and debt analysis. A description of ‘Mi Crédito’ services is set forth below.
VantageScore 3.0 Credit Score
The credit score provided is your VantageScore 3.0 Credit Score, which is a model developed by the three major credit reporting agencies: Equifax, Inc., Experian Information Solutions, Inc, and TransUnion, LLC. VantageScore 3.0 Credit Score predicts credit risk and measures the probability a person will pay his or her debts on time. The scores provided in ‘Mi Crédito’ are for informational purposes only. You can view Your VantageScore 3.0 Credit Score in ‘Mi Crédito’ as frequently as you would like without impacting your credit score. ‘Mi Crédito’ will only display the account information that appears in your Experian consumer credit report. Accounts not reported or subsequently deleted from your Experian credit report will not be reflected in your score. ‘Mi Crédito’ does not maintain your credit report information and cannot make any changes to it. BPPR is not responsible for inaccurate results, including any due to incorrect, incomplete, or outdated information in your credit report.
Score Simulator
‘Mi Crédito’ contains features that estimate how changes in your credit behavior may impact your credit score. These features show how these changes may impact the credit score displayed on ‘Mi Crédito’, which is the VantageScore 3.0 Credit Score. Simulated scores and score changes simulated by ‘Mi Crédito’ are only predicted estimates. ‘Mi Crédito’ does not guarantee your actual credit score will change by the same amount, in the same way, or at all.
Debt Analysis
Debt Analysis automatically captures and synchronizes the debt record listed in your Experian credit report. Your debt-to-income (DTI) refers to the total amount of debt payments you owe every month divided by your gross monthly income. This ratio includes all your total monthly recurring debt and is utilized to determine what additional debt capacity you may have available.
Alerts
To help you monitor your credit, ‘Mi Crédito’ may show you personalized alerts from Experian. Credit alerts include new inquiries, address changes, new derogatory information, new public records, new accounts opened in your name, etc. Also, ‘Mi Crédito’ may alert you of a change in your address or if your SSN is used in connection with a name or address other than what Experian has on file. These alerts are not guaranteed to detect identity theft or fraud. These notifications may come in the form of an email, a text or through the ‘Mi Crédito’ tool.
We do not guarantee that the information presented as part of the services rendered through 'Mi Crédito', including credit report or credit score information, is the same information that may be used or reviewed to assess your credit worthiness or eligibility, nor that you will be approved or rejected for credit by BPPR or any financial institution.
You agree that by enrolling and using ‘Mi Crédito’, you permit BPPR to periodically obtain your credit report to market our products and services to you.

It is your responsibility to upgrade your browser, when it becomes apparent it is needed, to ensure that you can continue to access ‘Mi Crédito’. Your obligations under this paragraph shall survive the termination of these terms and conditions.
Except as set forth herein or where applicable law requires a different standard, neither BPPR, its partners or affiliates, nor Experian shall be responsible for any loss, damages, or injury or for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, or consequential damages, including lost profits, arising from or related to the system, equipment, browser and/or the installation or maintenance thereof, access to our use of ‘Mi Crédito’, failure or electronic or mechanical equipment, the internet, the system, or communication lines, telephone or other interconnect problems, bugs, errors, configuration problems or delays with intermediate computer or communications network or facilities, problems with data transmission facilities or any other problems you experience. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, without regard to any choice of law provision. You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the jurisdiction and venue of the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
Neither BPPR nor Experian are credit repair organizations as defined under federal or state law, including the Credit Repair Organizations Act.
